    Financial Details ( May Include): Order History, Payment information, HSE related records.

    CCTV Recordings: CCTV is in use throughout all Chemist Warehouse locations for the purposes of health and safety and crime prevention and detection.

    Health Data: Defined as follows under the EU GDPR (Recital 35):

    Personal data concerning health should include all data pertaining to the health status of a data subject which reveal information relating to the past, current or future physical or mental health status of the data subject. This includes information about the natural person collected in the course of the registration for, or the provision of, health care services.

    Health data is held as special category data under the EU GDPR. As such, it is afforded increased protection from a data processing perspective. While the processing of health data is essential for the provision of certain services such as prescription services, any special category data is processed with the explicit consent of the data subject. By entering into a transaction which involves the processing of special category data, you will be held to have consented to the processing of all necessary personal data.

    Other Personal Data: This may include details shared with our team members in the course of your dealings with Chemist Warehouse Ireland.

  2. Employees and job applicants

    CWIRE collects personal data from employees and job applicants for the purposes of conducting our interview process. By applying for a role with Chemist Warehouse, you will be deemed to have provided explicit consent for the necessary processing of your personal data for the required purposes.

    Data may include, but is not limited to the following:

    • Name
    • Address
    • PPS Number
    • Proof of identity
    • CV
    • Employment History
    • Next Of Kin Details
    • Financial Information (Bank account details)
    • CCTV Data
    • Health Data (Afforded increased protection as per Recital 35).
    • Leave entitlements and usage records.
    • Record of qualifications obtained and/or employment related courses completed.
    • Record of reviews, appraisals, disciplinary procedures or changes in role.

    Employee data will be held for no longer than is necessary for the purposes intended and will be deleted in line with our retention schedule.

    Data pertaining to unsuccessful job applicants will be retained for a period of 12 months from the date upon which the application was first received.

    Data received from unsuccessful applicants will not be further processed in any way by the data controller. Such data will only be retained to notify the candidate of other roles for which they may be suitable within the allotted timeframe.

    When you engage with us online, CWIRE may gather your personal data by the following means:

    1. Personal data provided by you in the course of your visit to our website or use of any app provided by Chemist Warehouse.
